REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR OUR WINTER / SPRING 2024 SESSION. TO BE NOTIFIED OF OUR NEXT AVAILABLE SESSION CLICK here.
IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE MINI RETREATS THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. :)
Preparation requires that an adult complete it alongside the child preparing for the Sacrament.
You will need the accompanying materials kit before you begin that you received at the Welcome Mass (see your confirmation email from registration for the date).
If you are missing any materials please contact Katherine Marsh kmarsh@dol.ca
What are the key elements of preparation?
**If your child goes to public school there is an additional book that must be completed/read prior to the celebration of 1st communion.
What is involved in a Mini-Retreat?
Each mini retreat is 1.5 hrs and each child comes in the company of at least one parent/adult. It is a prayerful and fun way to learn the basics of the what, why and how of each sacrament through music, prayer, crafts and a bit of fun! What will the preparation look like if I do it at home?
The online preparation is asychronus (at your own pace) online learning. The portal is below. The CELEBRATION elements (welcome Mass, 1st confession & 1st communion) are still in-person events that you must attend. Preparation must be completed prior to celebration of the sacraments. This preparation involves both child AND parent. (It's not independant)How much time does the online program take?
There are 4 sessions/lessons for each sacrament. (4 sessions before 1st confession and 4 sessions before 1st communion) Each session runs between 20-40min. If you plan on 4 seperate days to take time to prepare with your child before their celebration - based on previous surveys of parents, your child (and you!) will feel comfortable and ready to participate in the sacrament.Welcome Mass

Dates Listed here are only "loosely" assigned to each school to help facilitate families celebrating with classmates - however, any date may be chosen. We tried to be mindful of class size, and location capacity at each time for each celebration. This is why some schools have multiple postings.
Please check out our Frequently Asked Questions page before calling. Due to the exceptionally LARGE number of famillies (between 200-300) that we serve each year for these sacraments, it can take 3-5 buisness days before your call/email can be returned. Your request is very important to us. We kindly ask your patience as we deal with the large volume of requests.
