As advised last spring the remediation work is about to begin at Good Shepherd. Construction work will start soon and will continue until the spring of 2024. We will keep you updated as the work progresses. It is also important to respect the construction barriers and signs for everyone’s safety.

On 8 February 2023, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops issued the following four pastoral letters on reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. Intended as a framework for local engagement with Indigenous Peoples, the letters are the fruit of many months of listening, encounter, and dialogue with them, including through Listening Circles, the Indigenous Delegation to the Vatican in April 2022, and Pope Francis’ Apostolic Voyage to Canada in July of the same year.
Bishop Fabbro will celebrate a Memorial Mass for the repose of the soul of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, on Monday, September 19, at 12:00 noon, at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica. The federal government has proclaimed this day as the National Day of Mourning in Canada and Bishop Fabbro welcomes all to join in this moment of prayer for our late Sovereign.
