I would like to offer many prayers of Thanksgiving to God for calling me to serve in and out of the parish for the last 10 years in the capacity of Deacon. My faith has truly grown and been reaffirmed through this ministry of service.
God calls us all to serve the Church and our fellow brothers and sisters. From the hope of a future that comes to the community as a child is being baptized, to the funeral mass of a dedicated witness of one’s faith in God and to the charitable works of mercy and spirit serving throughout his/her life.
Recalling St. Paul’s analogy of the body, we are all very important and necessary for the growth and well being of our community and for each member of our family.
I thank you all for being so receptive to this new Ministry of the Diaconal Service in our parish. I pray may we grow closer to God and to one another through our service in God’s body, the Church.
