1. When did you join the parish team?
December of 2019
2. What languages do you speak? Is there a language you would like to learn?
English and French. I mostly would like to improve my French!
3. What are the favorite places around the world you’ve visited?
Portugal, Germany, South Carolina USA and Vancouver BC Canada!
4. My favourite thing to do in my “free time” is…
Chill out with my pet rabbit Bunny, gardening and painting.
5. Team iPhone or Android?
Android of course!
6. If I could hang-out with any saint, it would be…
So hard to choose! My top 5 would be St. Francis de Sales, St. Dominic, St. Therese of Lisieux, my name Saint St. Catherine of Siena and Bl. Pier Georgio Frassati!! I feel like I'm leaving too many out... OH and of course the Blessed Mother!!!
7. My secret talent is…
Making fondont roses for decorating wedding cakes....
8. My confirmation name is…
Elisabeth. I wanted to honour my grandmother who had recently passed away... since there were a lot of Saints named Elisabeth I figured I could swing it! I ended up choosing a Carmelite nun by the name of Bl. Elisabeth of the Trinity. I didn't know much about her but I wanted to be "different" from my peers choosing the same name and not simply take the cousin of our Blessed Mother. Only many years later would I land upon her writings and was completely blown away! It's funny how some Saints choose you without you even knowing it!
9. My favorite thing about parish ministry is:
The people!! Yes I'm on team extrovert but I do just enjoy the people I encounter. Some I'm able to help, some make a profound impact on me, others I'm so blessed to call friends.... some fit all three categories! Our community in Christ is such a GIFT! I also enjoy teaching about Jesus. My first profession was as an elementary school teacher and I LOVE when that little light just goes on when a little one finally "gets it". I enjoy it especially when it's about my favorite person in the world -- Jesus Christ!!
10. You might want to talk to me if….
You have questions about 1st Reconciliation or 1st Communion for the Family of Parishes or Sunday ministry at Ste Anne's. Or maybe you are a teacher in one of our area schools and are looking for a classroom retreat, supplimentary ideas for the religion curriculum or information about upcoming school liturgies. I'm also here for all those random questions about Scripture or the life of the Saints! My door is open if you need just to chat over a cup of coffee regarding your spiritual life, interest in Catholicism or just for a friendly ear if you are going through a rough patch.
